Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home having a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan nsfas 2025 Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of my nsfas the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
